Sometimes, colour makes a whisky and when I saw this bottle, I knew it had to be a competition prize!
So, listen up ’cause I’ve got a wee bit of Scotch whisky news for ya. This particular whisky was distilled back in 2000 at the Allt-á-Bhainne distillery, and let me tell ya, it’s a real beaut. After kickin’ back in some hogshead casks for a while, it spent the last 22 months chillin’ in a first-fill sherry butt. And now, it’s finally been bottled up by Signatory for its Cask Strength Collection. With an outturn of just 689 bottles, this one’s a real rare gem, so if you get your hands on it, consider yourself lucky, my friend. Slainte!
