OLD RHOSDHU 1994 – 30 YEAR OLD SINGLE MALT SCOTCH WHISKY Bedford Park by North Point Distillery
A name whisky lovers whisper about but rarely get to taste. Old Rhosdhu hasn’t been produced since around 2000, making every remaining cask a piece of liquid history – and this one’s been quietly maturing in a refill bourbon hogshead for over three decades.
Distilled in 1994 at Loch Lomond, this is “Rh8” – the Black Rook – North Point’s fourth limited edition in their Chess series. Just 280 bottles were drawn from the cask at a natural strength of 46.7% ABV. Non-chill filtered. Naturally coloured. Fruity, floral, and layered with thirty years of bourbon cask character.
The label – a stunning Black Rook by Toronto artist Alexander Perkins – is worth framing on its own.
