Introducing the first release in Bunnahabhain’s new “Westering Home Collection”, Turas Math No.1 – meaning “the good journey” in Scots Gaelic – is a stunning 15 Year Old Islay malt that sails far beyond the expected.
Distilled in 2008, this whisky has been matured two ways:

Manzanilla Sherry cask-matured spirit, delivering that unmistakable coastal Bunnahabhain depth

Spirit aged 10 years in refill casks, then finished for 5 years in Amarone wine casks, bringing rich Italian character to the dram
The result? A dram layered with dried fruits, soft spice, coastal warmth, and vinous depth — with not a hint of chill filtration or colour manipulation in sight.
Tasting Notes
Nose: Black cherries, plums, blackberries, cloves, and roasted nuts
Palate: Cinnamon pastries, treacle toffee, hazelnut, dried figs, and gentle herbs
