This weekend only is the wonderful release from Scotland’s smallest distillery (no wonder there’s so few expressions).
Ballechin is the name given to the Edradour distillery’s heavily peated offerings, and this 18-year-old single malt makes a tremendous addition to the range. Bottled at cask strength, it’s a bold sipper, with robust peat smoke, sweet fruits, nutty barley, and leathery oak.
