We know, we go on and on about this wonderful dram but the desire to share this “King of All Sherried Drams” is too strong. Especially, when you know the secret behind it….
Legend has it that when Glendronach launched this fabled core release they didn’t have the newly aged stocks to complete them, so they chose older casks from when the distillery was mothballed. This practice has continued as their new stock has aged and the practice will finish next year, as the new version of the distillery turns 21. This means, by all estimations, that the scotch in this bottle is actually 27 years old, not the 21 on the label – no wonder it tastes so beautiful!
Why not find out what Rob keeps going on about? This is truly his favourite sherried dram.
