Everyone’s favourite Highland distillery has released not one, not two, but three excellent new single malts:
Matured in port and sherry casks, Glendronach says Ode to the Valley (46.2% ABV) is a “fruit-forward” whisky with notes of floral nectars and summer berries. Ode to the Embers (48.4% ABV) is a peated expression — an atypical style for the Highland distillery — matured in oloroso and Pedro Ximénez sherry casks. Rounding out the trio, Ode to the Dark (50.8% ABV) has been matured in Pedro Ximénez casks, and according to Glendronach has notes of chocolate, black cherry, and dates.
