This is one I’ve wanted to run as a competition for over five years.
Not because it’s flashy.
Not because it’s expensive.
But because it’s one of the most iconic and storied modern whiskies ever released.
Glenfiddich Snow Phoenix was born out of chaos.
The story
In January 2010, weeks of heavy snow and record low temperatures caused several of Glenfiddich’s warehouse roofs to collapse under four feet of compacted snow.
Hundreds of maturing casks were suddenly exposed to the night sky in temperatures as low as –19°C.
Rather than write the whisky off, Glenfiddich did something extraordinary.
Distillery teams worked around the clock to rescue the casks — and later created a unique vatting from those whiskies that had endured the freezing conditions.
The result became Snow Phoenix:
a one-off bottling created from survival, not design.
And it quickly became a cult release.
The whisky itself
Snow Phoenix is a marriage of natural strength, non-chill filtered casks of different ages and finishes, including:

Bottled at 47.6% ABV, it delivers richness, depth and a character that feels both powerful and elegant.
This isn’t just a Glenfiddich.

Please note: due to the nature of the presentation tins, the bases are prone to light scuffing. We cannot guarantee the tin is completely pristine, but the bottle and contents are in excellent condition.

Only entrants will the correct answer will be entered into the prize draw. Entrants will incorrect responses will not be entered but will still be charged.
