Lagg Single Malt Inaugural Release Batch 1

2021 was the year of the inaugural release – every week there seemed to be a new release from a new distillery. 2022 on the other hand, has been remarkably quiet until this little beauty from Lagg turned up. This is exciting stuff from the newest distillery on the isle of Arran. This is the first batch of three inaugural releases from Lagg Distillery – a heavily peated single malt, matured in ex-bourbon casks and bottled up in 2022. Boasting a vibrant smoky character, with plenty of vanilla caramel cask influence, here we see the team at Lagg perfecting what will be its house style going forward. See, we said it was exciting stuff!

Even better – this is one of only 10,000 bottles and I can guarantee that number is already far lower!
