Win Laphroaig Elements 1.0 – Cask Strength Islay for 99p
99p each | Max 10 per person
Islay’s most famous distillery handed its team the keys – and this is what they made.
Elements 1.0 is the first release in Laphroaig’s experimental Elements series, where the innovation happens at the distillery itself rather than in the cask. The team revived a pre-1990s mash size, blended cloudy and semi-cloudy wort to push the peat and phenolics higher, and ran a 55 hour fermentation personally overseen by then Distillery Manager Barry MacAffer. The packaging even draws on historical sketches of the distillery’s late-1800s expansion plans.
It’s everything you love about Laphroaig with the volume turned right up.
Nose: Salty smoked bacon and woody bonfire embers over hints of sweet strawberry jam and charred pineapple.
Taste: Spicy, peppery tropical fruit followed by wintery cloves and tangy liquorice, all wrapped in that signature medicinal Islay peat.
Bottled at a hefty 58.6% ABV. Cask strength.
A limited edition, cask strength Laphroaig for under a quid.
SELL-OUT BONUS: If all 99 tickets sell, a second winner receives £50 website credit. Two winners – but only if we sell out.
Closes 21st June
