A MACALLAN. FOR 99p. ποΈ
Let that sink in.
Little Brown Dog’s “UnnaMeded” Speyside is about as subtle as a wink with both eyes – it’s a single cask Macallan from 2010, finished in a Pedro XimΓ©nez sherry cask and bottled at a hefty 57.9% cask strength. The label is packed with knowing nods and cheeky clues for anyone still pretending they can’t guess the distillery. It’s part of LBD’s Extra Value Range – a tongue-in-cheek dig at The Macallan’s eye-watering price tags. Proof that world-class Speyside whisky doesn’t need a luxury price tag to be exceptional.
The liquid speaks for itself – kirsch chocolate and plums on the nose, clootie dumpling and Ethiopian coffee on the palate, finishing with orange zest, cognac and nutmeg. This is a proper sherry-finished single cask from one of Scotland’s most famous distilleries, bottled without compromise.
Already sold out at retail. Good luck finding one in the wild.
