In 2018, Macallan launched the Concept Series — a bold, limited-run departure from tradition, celebrating visionaries who think differently. Concept No.1 was the first release, inspired by surrealist art and unorthodox ideas — both in its design and its cask maturation.
This was never available in the UK retail market — only through select global travel hubs — and now it’s one of the most collectible Macallans of the past decade.

Maturation
Sherry-seasoned casks, followed by equal time in ex-bourbon casks — a rare move for Macallan, adding extra dimension and balance to their classic Speyside style.
Tasting Notes
Nose: Toffee apples, citrus, dried fruit, soft oak
Palate: Warming spice, orchard fruit, vanilla, and a hint of ginger
Finish: Sweet and medium-long, with subtle wood and spice complexity
