We had a wonderful discussion a couple of weeks ago with an avid Macallan collector. They had quite the collection, with many bottles that your average drinker would never get to own. When we asked them what was the best to drink, the answer surprised us – the rare cask was by far their favourite. To be fair, we’ve tried it and we can see why – we even prefer it to the 18 Sherry Oak!
