From Balvenie’s Collection of Curious Casks comes something truly special — a 12-year-old single malt matured in European oak barrels that once held the sweet wines of Montilla, a sun-soaked town in Andalusia famed for its rich dessert wines.
The result is unmistakably Balvenie yet beautifully different: barley sugar, candied apples and dried apricots, wrapped in layers of warming Christmas spice and honeyed oak. It’s indulgent, aromatic, and gently nostalgic — like festive pudding by the fire.
This limited release showcases Balvenie’s experimental side at its best: familiar craftsmanship, unexpected flavour.
