The Bordeaux red wine casks we use are made from two oak species, Quercus patrea & Quercus robur, adding savoury spice, whilst the red wine imparts tannins into the new make spirit. The casks were previously used to age three vintages of Bordeaux red wine, resulting in sumptuous, fruity top notes in our spirit like blackberries, plums, and cherries.
