This weekend, we’re bringing you the new release from Talisker. This is Talisker’s first foray into using French Oak XO Cognac casks, which we know has gone over very well with other distilleries (Grand Couronne being a good case in point).
Importantly, there’s more than meets the eye with this bottle – Talisker is partnering with “Parley for the oceans” to rewild more than 100 square miles of ocean – sounds like a great idea to us!
As for the flavour? “Finished in ex-Cognac French Oak casks, a Talisker first, the maritime aromas and powerful spice crash in waves, while rich fruity sweetness and lush complexity rises from the profound smoky depths, representing a glowing sunrise and a new day on the horizon for our seas.”
There are two prizes – one bottle for two winners.
