Torabhaig is the second legal distillery ever to be built on the Isle of Skye, tucked into a restored farmstead in Sleat and quietly making a name for itself as the island’s new heavyweight in peated malt. Where its neighbour built a legacy over two centuries, Torabhaig has done it in a handful of years — and this bottling is where the distillery first showed real ambition. First-fill bourbon barrel to build the backbone, then a full finish in a fresh Oloroso sherry puncheon to layer in the richness. Bottled at a punchy cask strength of 60.2%, non-chill-filtered and natural colour. No shortcuts.
