The Ultimate Education in Scotch – 10 Bottle first prize

One lucky winner will receive the ultimate in scotch whisky. These are the essential drams, from every flavour profile! If you take the time to read the excellent “Whisky Classified” by David Wishart, he explains that the are 10 key flavour profiles within whisky and this prize has one bottle per profile:

Aberlour A’Bunadh 70cl – Cluster A (Full-bodied, sweet, pronounced sherry with fruity, honey and spicy notes)

Glenfarclas 15 70cl – Cluster B (Full-bodied, sweet, pronounced sherry with fruity, floral and malty notes, some honey and spice evident)

Highland Park 18 – Cluster C (Full-bodied, medium sweet, pronounced sherry with fruity, nutty, honey and smoky notes)

Glenmorangie 18 – Cluster D (Quite full-bodied and sweet, fruity, floral and nutty notes, fairly spicy, hint of smoke)

Dalwhinnie 15 – Cluster E (Medium-bodied, medium sweet with fruity, honey and winey notes, and a whiff of smoke and spice)

Bunnahabhain 12 – Cluster F (Quite full-bodied, sweet and malty, with fruity, spicy and smoky notes)

Knockando 12 – Cluster G (Light, sweet and honeyed, with floral, fruity and spicy notes, mostly unpeated, an aperitif style)

Macallan Fine Oak 12 – Cluster H (Very light, sweet and malty, fruity and floral, an aperitif style)

Oban 14 – Cluster I (Medium-bodied, medium sweet, quite smoky, some medicinal notes, spicy, fruity and nutty)

Lagavulin 16 – Cluster J (Full-bodied, dry, pungent with peatsmoke and medicinal notes, some spice, malt and fruit in the background, and a hint of polished leather or libraries)

All 10 of these extra-ordinary whiskies will form the first and only prize for this competition – The Ultimate Education in Scotch – we’ve even thrown in a copy of the book too!

Only entrants will the correct answer will be entered into the prize draw. Entrants will incorrect responses will not be entered but will still be charged.

This winner of this competition will be chosen either at the last date shown above or sooner if all tickets are sold. If insufficient entries are made, any prize may consist of a cash prize.
