This year, Bunna released two Feis Ile expressions and we were willing to list whichever one we found had the best feedback. It transpired that it was this 14 Year Old Ruby Port finish that ruled the roost – so here’ s you go!
This 14 Year Old Scotch whisky was originally filled into bourbon casks on 26 May 2009 before being transferred into ruby Port hogsheads on 17 November 2020 to finish. It was bottled in 2024 at 58.7% ABV.
Tasting Note by The Producer
Nose The initial burst of dark chocolate fades to reveal toasted oak, cherries, plums and raspberries, with a hint of caramelised walnuts.
Palate Spicy yet sweet, with cinnamon and nutmeg intertwined with pain au chocolat, redcurrants, pomegranate and sweet malt.
Finish Lingering finish with cocoa and spice.
