Hi everyone! As we hear special rumblings about a new Signet release coming through fro Glenmorangie, we thought we’d take the chance to run one of our most well loved prizes – The Original Signet. This is a beauty, although I did once try it over lunch, which might be a little too early 🙂
The Signet is crafted from Glenmorangie’s archive of ancient whisky with the oldest dating back to 1974.The whiskies employed in its creation derives from aging in ex-bourbon barrels, olorosso sherry casks and virgin ’slow growth’ designer casks. Glenmorangie uses Single Estate Cadboll barley that is only produced two weeks in a year for this unique creation.
A superb, beautifully packaged Glenmorangie. Signet is distilled from malt with a good portion of chocolate malt too. Chocolate malt is heavily roasted malted barley. Some of this whisky was also matured in virgin oak casks.
