Macallan Harmony Rich Cacao

Well, we’ve finally tried all of the Harmony releases and for us, the original is still comfortably the best – it actually reminds a little of both the Glendronach 21 Parliament and the Glenmorangie Signet – Great comparisons through and through.

The Macallan collaborated with renowned pastry chef Jordi Roca (from El Celler de Can Roca, which has three Michelin stars, we’ll have you know) on this smashing single malt with a decidedly chocolatey flavour profile. Macallan whisky maker Polly Logan worked with Roca as well as Casa Cacao chocolatier Damien Allsop on this expression, which is made with whiskies aged in sherry-seasoned European oak casks and sherry-seasoned American oak casks.
